Media Notes: ServusTV To Air All Eight Red Bull Air Race World Championship Events

Austrian free-to-air TV channel ServusTV, which is owned by energy drink producer Red Bull, "will broadcast all Red Bull Air Race World Championship events this season." In addition to the channel's "live coverage of all eight events, ServusTV will also air highlights and a season review" (DWDL, 2/17). ... German news channel n-tv "will live broadcast the Euro 2016 qualifying draw from Nice, France on Sunday." The show "will air at 11:45am local time" (DWDL, 2/17). ... British Eurosport has extended its relationship with FIA World Rallycross Championship promoter IMG Motorsport. All rounds with Finland, Sweden, Canada and France will be shown live on either British Eurosport or British Eurosport 2, with two hours of screening during Sunday afternoons (IMG). ... Portuguese Primeira Liga side Benfica announced that its in-house TV service, Benfica TV, "has surpassed 300,000 subscribers." The service, launched as a premium offering seven months ago, now boasts 307,872 subscribers (SOCCEREX, 2/17). ... Int'l sports marketing agency IEC in Sports has signed with German media company _wige MEDIA to represent the audio-visual rights for its entire catalogue of motorsports events. The agreement comprises the global distributions rights across all media platforms (IEC).
