Media Notes: Sony Six To Broadcast Indian Premier League Players' Auction

Sports channel Sony Six will broadcast the Indian Premier League players’ auction "that will take place in Bangalore" on Wednesday and Thursday. The event "will be broadcast live on both Sony Six and Sony Six HD" (IANS, 2/10). ... The NBA has entered into a multi-year partnership with digital sports content company Perform, and launched the first-ever official online site designed specifically for fans in New Zealand. The new online destination on Sportal will offer extensive and localized NBA editorial and video content, including the live stream of one NBA game every week during the regular season (Perform). ... Kickboxing events and programming brand Glory Sports Int'l announced multiple renewals of televised product currently seen in more than 170 territories, and available in 800 million homes worldwide. The deal with Eurosport grants availability in 300 million European TV households. Deals in the Americas include renewals for Esporte Interativo in Brazil, Sky Mexico in Mexico and Central America, Suriname (Telesur) and DirecTV in South America (Glory Sports Int'l).
