League Notes: Marussia F1 Team Plans To Attend First Preseason Test

The Marussia F1 team "plan to attend" the first preseason F1 test in Spain this month and "have no concerns about their championship entry being listed as provisional." Motorsports governing body FIA "issued an entry list on Friday with asterisks against Lotus and back-markers Marussia denoting that they were subject to confirmation." Sporting Dir Graeme Lowdon "indicated the matter would be resolved shortly." Lowdon: ''We're just finalizing administrative details with the FIA and we have absolutely no concerns at all that the entry won't be confirmed" (REUTERS, 1/14). ... In a first for Ferrari, the name of the car that Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen will drive will be chosen by fans from around the world (Ferrari). ... BMW Motorsport has announced the driver/team line-up for the 2014 DTM season. Four teams and eight drivers will compete for BMW in the touring car series in the new BMW M4 DTM. BMW Team RBM will compete with the same pair of drivers as last year: Augusto Farfus and Joey Hand (BMW).
