New Manager Of Real Madrid's Sports Palace Considering Stadium Expansion

Real Madrid's Sports Palace arena, which event management company Impulsa Eventos e Instalaciones recently "won the right to manage for the next 10 years," could expand the arena's capacity to 16,500 for basketball games, according to MARCA. The Sports Palace receives more than 1.3 million spectators annually at the 100-plus events it hosts. The arena will remain the "home stadium" for Real Madrid and fellow Spanish Basketball League (ACB) side Tuenti Móvil Estudiantes. The Sports Palace will also host the 2014 FIBA World Cup (MARCA, 1/15).
