Sportz Interactive has announced ARVIND IYENGAR as the company's new CEO. The move was orchestrated by company Founder-CEO NAVEEN ARANHA, who has transitioned to a role focused on global partnerships and growth. Iyengar previously worked with McKinsey & Company, ESPN STAR Sports, the NBA and Kohlber, Kravis & Roberts. An alumnus of IIT Bombay, Arvind completed his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was a Siebel Scholar and an inaugural recipient of the Reliance Dhirubhai Ambani Fellowship. He also was the first Indian to win the Henry Ford II Scholarship for finishing top of his class at Stanford (Sportz Interactive). ... Former German Hockey League (DEL) club EHC Red Bull Munich Managing Dir CLAUS GRÖBNER "has reportedly found a new employer." It is understood that Gröbner "will become the new managing director of league rival ERC Ingolstadt" (ABENDZEITUNG MÜNCHEN, 1/13). ... Former Commercial Dir of the 2012 London Olympic organizing committee CHRIS TOWNSEND has been hired by Cultural Secretary MARIA MILLER "to head the organisation that runs the rural broadband programme." Ministers "have turned to the private sector in an attempt to put the rollout of superfast broadband back on track following fierce criticism from the spending watchdog and delays" (FINANCIAL TIMES, 1/14).
