Executive Transactions

Serie A Lazio coach VLADIMIR PETKOVIC "has officially been relieved of his duties," with EDOARDO REJA "employed as his replacement." Reja has been leading training for the past week, but has "only now been confirmed as the Biancoceleste's new coach." Petkovic was dismissed "for just cause" after breaching the terms of his contract by agreeing to take over as coach of Switzerland after the World Cup (ESPN, 1/4). ... Discovery Communications President and CEO DAVID ZASLAV "will continue in that role" through '19. Discovery Board of Directors Chair JOHN MALONE said, “David has done a superb job." The company's overseas operations "have expanded dramatically under Zaslav." He also "presided over the biggest acquisition in the company's history:" SBS Nordic, $1.7B worth of the European cable company ProSieben, and sports network group TF1 for $239M (ADWEEK, 1/3).
