  • West Indies Cricket Board Announces Three-Year Sponsorship Deal With NAGICO

    The West Indies Cricket Board "announced a three-year sponsorship deal with NAGICO Insurances as the new title sponsor for the regional Super50 one-day cricket tournament," according to the JAMAICA GLEANER. The event "is the WICB's marquee limited-overs event and will be known as the NAGICO Super50." The winning team "will take home the Clive Lloyd Trophy" -- named in honor of the legendary former West Indies captain. The '14 event "will feature eight teams" -- Barbados, Combined Campuses & Colleges, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Windward Islands, and Ireland. The tournament "will be televised live throughout the Caribbean on ESPN" and matches will be played from Jan. 30-Feb. 16 in Trinidad and Tobago, with day/night fixtures (JAMAICA GLEANER, 12/19).

    League Two side Accrington Stanley "announced a new kit supply arrangement" with equipment brand Mitre. The new deal covers the rest of the '13-14 season and will see Mitre supply official playing and training kits. Stanley’s new home kit "will debut on Boxing Day at their home match against York City, although it will go on sale at the club’s shop and online three days earlier" (SOCCEREX, 12/20). ... Online gaming company BragBet "has signed a two and a half year deal to become the official betting partner" of Northern Ireland's Danske Bank Premiership. The deal "follows a previously announced agreement between the company, which launched in April of this year, and the Football Association of Ireland" (SOCCEREX, 12/20).
