Media Notes: Rugby Football Union Appoints Deltatre For Digital Media Services

Deltatre announced an agreement to support the Rugby Football Union with a host of digital media, creative and production services as the organization steps up its digital presence. RFU has engaged deltatre for a three-year term. At the core of the offering will be the redesign, development and hosting of the RFU's primary communication touch point, RFU.com (deltatre). ... MP & Silva announced the acquisition of a package of friendly football matches featuring European clubs to provide football content during the football winter break and other local championships. The package is highlighted by the Paris St. Germain-Real Madrid match on Jan. 2 to be played in Doha, Qatar. Other matches include teams from German, Dutch, Belgium, Turkish, Ukrainian and Emirati top football leagues (MP & Silva). ... Two topless women "stormed the stage of a German talkshow on Wednesday night in protest at the treatment of workers building football facilities for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar." The Femen activists "ran onto the stage in the middle of a live football debate on public broadcaster ZDF during the Markus Lanz talkshow" (THE LOCAL, 12/12).
