The Williams F1 Team announced DAVE WHEATER will join from the Lotus F1 Team to become head of aerodynamic performance, reporting to existing Head of Aerodynamics JASON SOMERVILLE. Also supporting Jason will be SHAUN WHITEHEAD, previously of Red Bull Racing, who joins as head of aerodynamic process (Williams F1). ... Austrian football coach ALFRED RIEDL "has been re-hired to manage the Indonesian national football team on a one-year contract" with the option of a two-year extension if the "2014 Asean Football Federation Cup brings success" (JAKARTA GLOBE, 12/9). ... GEORGES GUELZEC has been re-elected president of the European Union of Gymnastics at the continental governing body's congress in Portorož, Slovenia. Guelzec received 40 of the 41 ballot votes "after standing unopposed for the position," which he has held since '09, when he succeeded Greece's DIMITRIOS DIMITROPOULOS. Current UEG VPs RUEDI HEDIGER of Switzerland and MALIN EGGERTZ FORSMARK of Sweden "were also re-elected" (INSIDE THE GAMES, 12/7).
