Media Notes: Sharapova To Cover Sochi Olympics As NBC Correspondent

Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova "will return to the city where she grew up as a child to cover the upcoming Winter Olympics as a correspondent for U.S. television network NBC." It "was not immediately clear what events Sharapova will be covering for NBC," which holds the U.S. media rights for the Sochi Olympics next February (MOSCOW TIMES, 11/14). ... Europe's flagship Mixed Martial Arts promotion, BAMMA, announced a new TV partnership with Abu Dhabi TV. The deal sees BAMMA events broadcast across Bahrain, Egypt, Chad, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestinian Authority, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE, Yemen, Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia, exclusively on Abu Dhabi TV (BAMMA).
