Association of European Professional Football Leagues founding father and CEO EMANUEL MACEDO DE MEDEIROS has "announced his decision to leave his position" at the end of March. The Portuguese lawyer has served as CEO of the EPFL, which acts as the umbrella body of 30 leagues and almost a thousand clubs across Europe, since June '05. He has acted to promote the EPFL’s interests with FIFA, UEFA and other sports bodies or political institutions, such as the European Commission, European Parliament, Council of Europe and national governments and parliaments (SOCCEREX, 10/31). ... The World Taekwondo Federation has appointed Peru IOC member IVAN DIBOS as VP. The WTF also appointed two honorary VPs, one VP and eight council members. The two honorary VPs are DAE-SOON LEE of Korea and PHIL COLES of Australia (WTF). ... Major League Soccer has announced the appointment of FA Head of Team and Corporate Security RAY WHITWORTH, one of the sports industry's "most accomplished security experts," as VP, operations and security. Whitworth, who has more than 30 years’ experience in law enforcement, comes to MLS after his most recent role as FA Head of Team & Corporate Security (TRIBAL FOOTBALL, 10/31). ... BARRY WEBBER, who has been commercial director at EPL West Ham since May '10, will officially join League One club Stevenage on Jan. 2 as CEO. Webber will become one of the youngest CEOs in the Football League (Stevenage).
