A charity concert by German punk rock band Toten Hosen generated around €400,000 ($528,000) that the band will donate to German Hockey League (DEL) club Dusseldorf EG, according to the SID. During the Rot-Gelben Nacht (Red-Yellow Night) at the ISS Dome, which is the DEG's home arena, the band "played for more than two hours in front of 12,000 fans." With the donation, Toten Hosen ensures that the team's operations "are secured for the upcoming season." At the beginning of the concert, Toten Hosen lead singer Campino said, "I hope that this evening will be an initial spark for other companies to secure the long-term future of the DEG" (SID, 9/2).
