Media Notes: Fulham Fans Upset After New TV Stand Blocks View From $1,200 Seats

EPL Fulham supporters "expressed their anger at the first home game of the season" after a new TV camera position "restricted views in the main Johnny Haynes Stand." The camera, required as part of the new TV deal, "was installed in front of the press box and season ticket holders" who pay in the region of £750 ($1,200) for their seats (London DAILY MAIL, 8/24). ... German media corporation Constantin Median "has extended its partnership with Volkswagen." The carmaker "will become the official presenter of DFB-Pokal (German Cup) broacasts on sports radio Sport1.fm" (IT TIMES, 8/21). ... The MCE British Superbike Championship has announced a broadcast deal with TV network Setanta Africa. Setanta Africa "is a full time sports channel which is distributed in Sub Saharan Africa through a network of DTH, DTT, cable, and FTA platforms reaching over 22 million households" (BRITISH SUPER BIKE, 8/22).
