    Tennis Australia said CEO STEVE WOOD "will resign at the end of next month" and will be replaced by Australian Open Tournament Dir CRAIG TILEY. Wood said in a Tennis Australia statement that he had decided to "take a break" and planned to "make a contribution to the game from a different perspective in the future" (BLOOMBERG, 8/21). ... Croatian football club Dinamo Zagreb released head coach KRUNOSLAV JURCIC "immediately after Wednesday's 2-0 loss against Austrian side Austria Vienna in the fist leg of the Champions League playoff round." Assistant coach DAMIR KRZNAR "will take over the team as interim head coach" (SID, 8/22). ... Golfer KAREN LUNN "is ending her 29-year professional playing career to return home for a new job" as Australian Ladies' Professional Golf Tour exec director. Lunn, 47, "is also giving up her role as chairman of the Ladies European Tour," which she has held for the last nine years. Lunn starts her new role Sept. 9 (AAP, 8/22). ... World Sport Group appointed SARAH CLEMENTS as director of operations. Clements is a 20-year veteran in the operations of major int'l tennis and entertainment events and will lead the management and delivery of the WTA Championships in Singapore for World Sports Group, which will be held on the soon-to-be-opened Sports Hub complex beginning in '14. Clements will be based in World Sports Group's Singapore office (World Sports Group). ... Golf course management firm Troon has appointed KRIS STRAUSS as VP of marketing and sales based out of the companies' headquarters in Arizona. Strauss will have sales and marketing oversight of resort and daily fee properties (Troon).

Nike had "extended its five-year endorsement contract" valid until '13 by a year and "duly intimated Kohli of this." However, the cricketer had allegedly responded to the company, saying he was "looking at other options" (BUSINESS STANDARD, 8/22). ... French cyclist SYLVAIN CHAVANEL "is leaving pro cycling team Omega Pharma Quick-Step and joins Swiss team IAM Cycling" (BLICK, 8/21). ...
