Guardiola's Bayern Munich Introductory Press Conference Gets High Ratings On German TV

German TV channels Sport1, n-tv, N24 and pay-TV channel Sky Sport News HD "have obtained high ratings for their broadcasts of Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola's first official press conference," according to Manuel Weis of QUOTENMETER. Guardiola's press conference, which started at 12pm on Monday, attracted 50,000 viewers on Sky Sport News HD. The number translated into a market share of 0.7%. In the target demographic 14-49, Sky's coverage had a 0.9% share. Sport1, which also aired the press conference live, attracted an average of 210,000 viewers and had a 2.6% market share. In the target demographic, Sport1 obtained a 2.8% share. German news channels n-tv and N24 attracted 130,000 and 100,000 viewers, respectively. The number translated into a market share of 1.7% for n-tv and 1.4% for N24. In the target demographic, N24 and n-tv attracted 50,000 viewers each and had a market share of 2% and 1.7%, respectively (QUOTENMETER, 6/25).

FIRST PRACTICE: The EFE reported Bayern Munich is expecting around 25,000 fans for Guardiola's first practice with the club on Wednesday despite notable absences of players like Javi Martínez and Dante, who are currently participating in the Confederations Cup in Brazil. It will be Guardiola's first official contact with the players (EFE, 6/25).
