Marketplace Roundup: Colombian Football Federation, Allianz Announce Partnership

The Colombian Football Federation has agreed to a new sponsorship deal with German insurance firm Allianz through '14 (SOCCEREX, 6/14). ... Panasonic has been named the official supplier of the 34th America's Cup. Panasonic will provide five LED video boards and 85 flat panel TVs that will be placed throughout the America's Cup Park and America's Cup Village (America's Cup). ... Budweiser, the official beer sponsor of the Confederations Cup and next year's World Cup, is "presenting a man of the match award for every game at both tournaments with a specially designed trophy" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 6/16). ... Supermarket chain Morrisons will sponsor the 2013 Special Olympics National Games in Bath, England this summer (Morrisons). ... Cricket Australia has launched a new advertising campaign ''The Rivalry That Unites Aus'' to promote the '13-14 Commonwealth Bank Ashes Series this summer. The campaign highlights the rivalry between Australia and England and features former Australian PM John Howard and Aussie rock icon Jimmy Barnes cheering on Australian captain Michael Clarke going into bat (CA).
