La Liga Side Espanyol Lowering Prices, Offering Promotions For Season Ticket Sales

La Liga side Espanyol has announced discounts and specials in its season ticket campaign for '13-14, with a slogan of "You are our life," according to the EFE. Espanyol season ticket-holders that have lost their jobs in '12-13 will receive a 25% discount. The club is also offering insurance for fans that are unemployed, on temporary disability or hospitalized. There will also be price reductions in many sections of Espanyol's Cornellá-El Prat Stadium. Espanyol will also "assume a higher VAT tax, which has increased from 18-21% on season tickets, and tickets for children will also receive discounts of up to 20%, with promotions for families." Espanyol President Joan Collet said the goal is "to once again have 30,000 season ticket holders and not let that number decrease again." Espanyol currently has 29,576 season ticket holders, 7,000 less than in '09-10 (EFE, 6/10).
