FA Chair David Bernstein says Winter World Cup idea "fundamentally flawed."
Outgoing FA Chair David Bernstein has "dismissed a proposal to reschedule the 2022 World Cup to better suit the climate in Qatar," according to Ashling O'Connor of the LONDON TIMES. Bernstein said moving the tournament from summer to winter to avoid the searing desert heat would be “fundamentally flawed.” He also "hit back" at the idea of a gradual erosion of football as a winter sport
