The man who was dubbed "career delegation leader" for leading most Kenyan athletics teams for the last 16 years to int'l events "has exited the scene." JOSEPH KINYUA, who served as Athletics Kenya's national Treasurer since '93, lost his post to DAVID MIANO "after polling 24 votes against the victor's 36" (XINHUA, 5/21).


COACHES:
Spanish Basketball League (ACB) side Unicaja Malaga will not renew the contract of Croatian coach JASMIN REPESA. The "top candidate to replace Repesa is Zalgiris Kaunas coach JOAN PLAZA" (AS, 5/21). ... EPL club Stoke City Manager TONY PULIS is leaving the club after a total of 10 years in charge after disagreeing with Chair PETER COATES, "who insists that the club requires a new direction." Pulis, who can expect to be paid up his 12-month rolling contract, met Coates Tuesday morning "for a debrief over the club's fifth successive season in the Premier League" (LONDON TIMES, 5/21).
