Reale Ademar Coach Looking To Lead Spanish National Team Through Next Olympic Cycle

Spanish handball club Reale Ademar coach Manolo Cadenas said that "he would like to coach the Spanish national team for the next Olympic cycle," according to the EFE. Cadenas expects to make the position official in a meeting with new Royal Spanish Handball Federation President Francisco Blázquez. Cadenas said that "he hopes to finalize the length of his contract next Thursday in a meeting with Blázquez," who will be joined by national team Athletic Director Manolo Laguna. Cadenas' first int'l objective will be the European Championship in Denmark in '14. The following year, Spain will look to defend its '13 title won in Barcelona in the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship in Qatar. Finally, Spain will look to improve on its third-place finish at the London Games when it heads to the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics (EFE, 4/30).
