Marketplace Roundup: NBA, Int'l Fashion Company Zara Partner For New T-Shirt Line

The NBA and int'l fashion company Zara announced a new partnership in which Zara will create a collection of NBA boys T-shirts across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. It is the first time the retailer is partnering with a North American sports league. The collection will include feature designs for the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, L.A. Lakers and Miami Heat (NBA). ... The European Handball Federation Marketing GmbH, the organizing company of the Velux EHF Champions League Final4, selected Germany-based production company wige MEDIA AG, a subsidiary of wige BROADCAST, to produce the broadcast of the event. The EHF Final4 will take place at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany on June 1-2 (wige MEDIA). ... EPL side Liverpool and outdoor equipment specialist Jack Wolfskin have signed a three-year extension of their current partnership deal. Jack Wolfskin became the Reds' official outdoor equipment partner in '10-11 (Liverpool). ... The IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship has secured an official sponsorship agreement with pharmaceutical company Actavis. The contract period lasts for two years starting with the '13 event taking place in Stockholm and Helsinki on May 3-9 and also includes the '14 event to be held in Minsk, Belarus on May 9-25 (Infront). ... South Korean company Hankook has emerged as an alternative official tire supplier for F1 (PADDOCK TALK, 4/18).
