Part of DAVID BECKHAM's wages at Paris St. Germain "will be given to the largest children’s hospital" in Paris. Le Parisien reported that a decision had been taken “a few days ago” to give more than €500,000 ($650,000) to two charities, including the Necker children’s hospital in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. The identity of the second charity "was not known" (London INDEPENDENT, 4/17). ... Real Madrid head coach JOSE MOURINHO has told coaches at Canillas FC that "he will not be at Real Madrid next season." The Portuguese "has continually been linked with a summer departure from the Santiago Bernabeu, with Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and most recently Monaco all said to be interested in recruiting him" (FOOTBALL ESPAŇA, 4/17). ... On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
