    The Professional Squash Association has appointed five-time Indian champion RITWIK BHATTACHARYA to the new position of PSA South East Asia representative. The 33-year-old will take on a wide role, including liaising with existing PSA World Tour events in the region; attracting new events to India and the region; and ensuring that PSA requirements are delivered across events, press, media, player welfare, etc. (PSA). ... Hockey India named South African GREGG CLARK as the chief coach of the junior men's national field hockey team. Clark "has initially been appointed for a period of one year though the contract can be renewed." The appointment "has been made specifically with the junior World Cup in mind, which will be held in India in December" (THE HINDU, 4/7).

Former Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler MOHSEN PUDANAKI has died at age 35. Pudanaki, who "had a malignant brain tumor, passed away in Resalat Hospital in Tehran" (TEHRAN TIMES, 4/8).
