Event Notes: England Women's Cricket Team To Play Pakistan In Louth

The England women's cricket team will play Pakistan in a one-day int'l match in Louth. The game will take place on July 1 at Louth Cricket Club as part of SO Festival 2013 (PAKISTAN TODAY, 3/29). ... Meydan Group LLC has enterd into a strategic partnership with the city of Chengdu, China to host a horse race later this year. Meydan Chair Saeed Al Tayer said the race is tentatively planned for October while the details will be announced in "due course" (GULF NEWS, 3/28). ... A total of Dh100,000 ($27,225) is on offer in the Al Basti Equiworld "Lucky Draw" for racegoers attending Saturday's Dubai World Cup at Meydan Racecourse (GULF NEWS, 3/28).
