Welsh Rugby Player Says Keeping Stars In Country Must Be Priority

Wales and British Lions player Gethin Kenkins has urged Welsh rugby powerbrokers "to do more to keep Rob Howley’s Six Nations heroes from leaving for English and French clubs," according to Delme Parfitt of WALES ONLINE. Jenkins voiced his concerns "amid reports George North is in talks about a move from the Scarlets to Northampton." He said that urgent action is needed to prevent an exodus of box-office talent. Jenkins said, "I just hope something gets sorted out that will benefit players in Wales. At the moment they are being forced to leave. It’s all right paying off the Millennium Stadium debt, but if players are leaving then you have no product” (WALES ONLINE, 3/25).
