Football Federation Australia announced that Major League Soccer Senior Exec RUSSELL SARGEANT will join the A-League as GM of Operations. Sargeant will lead the FFA League Operations team, managing Hyundai A-League competition administration and services. Currently a senior director with MLS and Soccer United Marketing, Sargeant will return to his home country Australia following a 12 year stint in the US working in professional sport (FFA). ... AECOM has appointed ALF OSCHATZ head of its sports group in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Oschatz joined AECOM during late '12 when South Africa-based BKS became part of the global firm (AECOM). ... Cameroonian ISSA HAYATOU was unanimously re-elected president of the Confederation of African Football for a new term until '17 (XINHUA, 3/10). ... Brazilian marketing agency 9ine Operations Dir EVANDRO GUIMARAES has resigned from his post. Guimaraes spent two years working for the company (MAQUINA DO ESPORTE, 3/8).
