Russian champion Zenit St. Petersburg is "holding talks about reviving an old sponsorship agreement with Lufthansa," according to R-SPORT. The news was revealed by Lufthansa regional head Ronald Schulz. Lufthansa was one of Zenit’s sponsors between '09 and '10, but was not featured on the team’s shirt. Schulz said, "Now we are discussing our possible cooperation. It’s very interesting, but we should understand how we can be useful for each other in this sense." Schulz added that the new deal "could be different to the old agreement." He declined to discuss specifics. Schulz: "Our relations were even, as partners, now we are discussing various conditions that could be different from what went before." Zenit and Lufthansa representatives met Tuesday and "will resume discussions" March 19 in Moscow (R-SPORT, 2/20)
The Williams F1 Team has renewed its partnership agreement with Finnish business enterprise Wihuri. The new partnership agreement will see Wihuri increase its level of commitment to the team for the '13 season. The Wihuri logo will be featured on the rear wing end plate of the Williams Renault FW35 in all races outside of Europe and North America. In Europe and North America, the logo will be featured on the rear wing end plate and read Wipak and Winpak, respectively. The Wihuri logo will also be featured on the drivers’ helmets and overalls, as well as on team clothing (Williams F1).
