Facility Notes: Facility To Be Built In Frankfurt For German National Teams, Federations

The German Football Federation (DFB) "has revealed that it will build its proposed performance center in Frankfurt." The DFB said that Frankfurt "is the favored location." The new performance center "is supposed to become the permanent training facility for all German national teams and the federation's primary communication center" (FRANKFURTER RUNDSCHAU, 1/26). ... Construction "is underway" on the first nine holes of Pacific Coast Design's 27-hole project for Chengdu Hongyuan Investment Co. in the Sichuan province of China. The course will run alongside the Chenkangtun Reservoir near the city of Mianyang, and is part of a large residential and resort development. The first nine holes are "expected to be ready to play" by the end of '13 (GOLF COURSE ARCHITECTURE, 1/22).
