Legends Hospitality/Jamie Oliver Joint Venture To Provide Concessions For Man City

Legends Hospitality Management and Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts have formed a joint venture in the U.K. and have signed a five-year food contract with Man City, according to Legends officials. The new company, called Fabulous Fan Fare, will operate concessions, premium dining and non-event catering at Etihad Stadium. The agreement is the first int'l deal for Legends, a four-year-old sports food and marketing firm owned by the Dallas Cowboys, N.Y. Yankees and Checketts Partners Investment Fund. Oliver is a 37-year-old British chef, restaurateur and media personality (Don Muret, SportsBusiness Journal). The MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS wrote "the value of the deal has not been announced but is likely to provide a shot in the arm" to the Blues' bid to comply with UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations, as it looks to increase commercial revenue. Man City Chief Commercial & Operation Officer Tom Glick said, "It is our ambition to create a world class customer experience for everybody who visits the Etihad Stadium. We are looking forward to working with these two leading brands as we continue to develop our stadium to achieve this aim" (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 1/10).
