League Two Club Morecambe Will Allow Supporters Free Entry For Tuesday's Game

English League Two club Morecambe has "suffered low attendance rates all season," and is now allowing any supporters free entry to its game against Dagenham & Redbridge FC on Tuesday, according to Liv Lee of the London DAILY MAIL. Club Manager Jim Bentley said, "It’s a chance to get the community behind the team and see if we can generate some atmosphere. If we can get three points and play well, hopefully they’ll come back as paying customers." The Globe Arena has had an average attendance of fewer than 2,000 this season. It comes close to "being the least supported team in the league." The highest attendance has been 3,635 for its draw with Bradford on New Year’s Day. Morecambe is currently sitting at 19th in the table (DAILY MAIL, 1/7).
