Federation of Uganda Football Associations said that it plans to "garner regional support to jointly host the coveted" African Cup of Nations tournament in '19, according to XINHUA. FUFA VP Mujib Kasule said that it is going to use the forthcoming 2012 Council for East and Central African Football Associations Senior Challenge Cup "to lobby for support." CECAFA defending champion Uganda will host the event Nov. 24-Dec. 6, which will "bring together national teams" from Tanzania, Rwanda, Sudan, Burundi, Eritrea, Somalia, Zanzibar and Kenya. Ethiopia and Sudan are the only two countries in the region that have hosted AFCON, "Africa's biggest showpiece." Kasule said that it is possible to host AFCON if Uganda and Kenya "jointly launch a bid" (
