Championship club Crystal Palace confirmed that Manager DOUGIE FREEDMAN has left to become the Bolton Wanderers manager. The Wanderers sacked Manager OWEN COYLE on Oct. 9. Interim Manager JIMMY PHILLIPS was in charge at Bolton's 3-2 victory against Hull City (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 10/23). ... MARISOL CASADO of Spain has been re-elected as president of the Int'l Triathlon Union, earning another four-year term. LOREEN BARNETT of Canada has also won another four-year term after being re-elected as secretary general of ITU. In the VP race, ANTONIO ALVAREZ of Mexico, SARAH SPRINGMAN of Great Britain and BILL WALKER of Australia were all re-elected (ITU). ... Arsenal FC "appointed SIMON LILLEY as its new retail director." Lilley's appointment follows the departure of Retail Dir NICK PEEL (FCBUSINESS.co.uk, 10/23). ... Puma "unanimously elected JEAN-FRANÇOIS PALUS to become its new chairman of the administrative board" on Tuesday. Palus will replace JOCHEN ZEITZ "who resigns from his position at the end of November" (IDOWA.de, 10/23). ... Swiss National League A club HC Ambri-Piotta has fired head coach KEVIN CONSTANTINE who posted a record of "84 losses in 118 games at the helm of the team." The club appointed SERGE PELLETIER as its head coach (BLICK, 10/22). ... Swiss National League B club Lausanne HC released head coach JOHN VAN BOXMEER after a disappointing start to the season. The club "is looking for a successor" (BLICK, 10/22).
