Event Notes: Coaches To Reflect On European Athletics Championships

The third edition of the Head Coaches Forum will take place in St. Julians, Malta on Saturday. Head coaches, national event coaches and team leaders will first reflect on the success of the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki and the '12 season, including European performances at the London Games. In addition, they will study the performance system in Russia and share ideas about coaches eduction (European Athletics). ... Tickets were put on sale for the 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow Thursday. The event will be held Aug. 10-18, with the stadium competitions taking place at the Grand Sports Arena of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, while the Race Walking and the Marathon courses will take place on roads in the complex and along the embankments of the Moskva River, including the Kremlin Embankment (IAAF). ... The start of Delhi’s polo season "has been delayed after a case of equine infectious anemia was discovered in the capital" of India. The Ministry of Agriculture said that "it has ordered restrictions on the movement of horses in Delhi and the neighboring state of Haryana." Int'l polo teams are "unlikely to play any fixtures in Delhi before February, added the India Polo Association" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 10/6).
