Event Notes: MMA, Futsal Heading To Cambodia

Mixed Martial Arts promotion ONE Fighting Championship is preparing to host its first event in the Philippines on Friday. "ONE FC: Pride of a Nation" will be held in the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, where the "legendary Thrilla in Manila bout" between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier took place almost 37 years ago (PHNOM PENH POST, 8/29). ... The inaugural five-a-side Corporate Futsal tournament will be played Sept. 25 - Dec. 6 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The competition is organized by Banzai, owner of the newly-constructed Beeline Arena on the Chroy Changvar peninsula, where the event will be held (PHNOM PENH POST, 8/29).
