MasterCard Agrees To Seven-Year Deal With Brazilian Football Confederation

MasterCard has agreed to a new seven-year deal with the Brazilian Football Confederation, according to DGABC.com.br. In addition to sponsoring all of the male teams, the deal also includes the U-20 and U-17 women sides. With the deal, MasterCard will have access to the branding rights, provide ticket pre-sales and run promotions. MasterCard Brazil President Gilberto Caldart said, "Football is the most beloved international sport, Brazil is a global economic player and a top tourist destination, and there are millions of devoted Brazilian National Football Team fans worldwide, a very powerful combination for a sponsorship platform" (DGABC.com.br, 8/21).
