A Done Deal For La Liga
Broadcasters Mediapro and Prisa have "reached an agreement" to share La Liga TV rights in Spain over the next three seasons, according to Vicente Ruiz of EL MUNDO. The broadcasters will "jointly exploit" the rights to the Primera and Segunda Division. The conditions of the deal are "similar to those of the past seasons," with the majority of matches divided between pay-TV networks Gol T (Mediapro) and Prisa's Digital+. However, no resolution was found in terms of which operator will show the free-to-air match. The one sure thing is that "this season abandons the traditional Saturday night slot for Monday in prime time."
