Bandsports Renews Deal To Broadcast The French Rugby League In Brazil

Brazilian broadcaster Bandsports "has renewed their contract" to be the exclusive broadcaster of the French Rugby League in Brazil, according to PORTALEDS.com. The league, known as the TOP 14, "is the most important" in Europe, with "the best players" and highest wages in rugby. The decision to renew the deal is a "strategic" one. The sport is "fast growing in Brazil" and will be part of the '16 Rio de Janeiro Games for the first time in the history of the Olympics (PORTALEDS.com, 8/13).
