Danish Handball Champion AG Copenhagen Files For Bankruptcy

Two months after Danish handball champion AG Copenhagen finished third in the Champions League the club "filed for bankruptcy," according to the DPA. The team announced that "all payments will be stopped and all players as well as employees will be released immediately." In June, the club lost its title sponsor Jesper "Kasi" Nielsen who took over the handball department of FC Copenhagen and turned it into an independent company. The team filed for insolvency at Glostrup City Court in the Glostrup suburb of Copenhagen (DPA, 7/31).
