Spanish tennis players DAVID FERRER and ANABEL MEDINA "suffered a driver who did not know where the Olympic Village was." Both players took to Twitter to explain their ordeal. Ferrer: "Never seen this before, making history to get to the village. Driver that doesn't know where the village is and taking us in the wrong direction..." Medina: "From a movie, we got to the village at 3 in the morning..... driver did not know our destination and we had to switch cars...." (MARCA, 7/23). ... Man City striker MARIO BALOTELLI spent £4,000 ($6,205) at a local bar in Ibiza, Spain. The tab "was the highest in the 25 years of the establishment" (GLOBOESPORTE, 7/23). ... The motor home of F1 CEO BERNIE ECCLESTONE was parked in the first row at the German F1 Grand Prix on Sunday, but the 81-year-old Brit "did not show up." Several businessmen waited for hours in front of the mobile office because they had appointments with Ecclstone. According to Ecclestone's associates, he did not show up because the "appointments in Hockenheim were not that important (SÜDDEUTSCHE ZEITUNG, 7/23). ... NBC Olympics’ Molly Solomon, ESPN’s P.K. Subban, the Masters and more

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with Molly Solomon, who will lead NBC’s production of the Olympics, and she shares what the network is are planning for Paris 2024. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s P.K. Subban as the Stanley Cup Playoffs get set to start this weekend. SBJ’s Josh Carpenter also joins the show to share his insights from this year’s Masters, while Karp dishes on how the WNBA Draft’s record-breaking viewership is setting the league up for a new stratosphere of numbers.
