NBA's Hornets, Magic To Play Pre-Season Game In Mexico

The NBA and Mexican live entertainment and events company Zignia Live announced a multi-year partnership that includes a preseason game in Mexico. The game will feature the Orlando Magic and New Orleans Hornets on Oct. 7 at the newly launched Mexico City Arena as part of NBA Mexico Game 2012. It marks the NBA's 18th visit to Mexico City and the league's 20th game in Mexico overall, the most NBA match-ups held in any country outside the U.S. and Canada. The NBA and its game partners will also conduct community events and programs (NBA).

HANDBALL: In Beijing, Tang Zhe reported that the Chinese men's handball team will "play three friendly matches against German club TBV Lemgo" at the KANNE & P+M Cup in the Jiangsu province and in Beijing later this month. The two sides will play games in Danyang and Zhangjiagang in the Jiangsu province on July 24-25, and then meet at Tsinghua University in Beijing on July 28 (CHINA DAILY, 7/13).
