The PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games appointed former Arirang TV anchor MIN-JI KANG as its spokesperson. Most recently, she worked as a media relations officer at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies (PyeongChang 2018). ... Media rights company MP & Silva plans to expand its TV rights distribution and strategic acquisition in North and Latin America. Based in Miami, the new MP & Silva regional headquarter is headed by founding partner and CEO CARLO POZZALI. His Miami-based team will be joined by Brazilian born former IMG VP for Latin America EDUARDO BORGES, as well as former NBA Head of Asian Business Development MARK GORSKI, both as Senior VP/Acquisitions & Sales. Borges will mainly be responsible for sales and distribution, while Gorski will manage strategic partnership and int'l projects (MP & Silva).

MANAGERS:
Manchester City Manager ROBERTO MANCINI has signed a new five-year deal with the club to remain as manager, worth at least £25M ($38.8M). The deal "secures him at the club" until '17. Recent reports linked Mancini to the Russian national team, but negotiations with Man City "had been going on since mid-May" (GUARDIAN, 7/9). ... HOK SOCHETRA has been named head coach of the Cambodian national football team. The former "top-rated striker" replaces LEE TAE-HOON of South Korea (PHNOM PENH POST, 7/9).
