SWISS HOCKEY: SUEDOSTSCHWEIZ.ch reported that the Lakers Sport AG, owner of National Liga A hockey club Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, lost CHF159,000 ($163,000) during the previous fiscal year. The deficit could be kept small because the BOD and donors took over CHF1.8M ($1.85M) of the deficit. Despite the deficit, the team increased its budget by CHF1M ($1M) to CHF11M ($11.25M). Former board member Lucas Schluep succeeded Walter Villiger, who resigned, as club president (SUEDOSTSCHWEIZ.ch, 7/6).
