Sebastian Vettel To Team Up With Alonso In 2014

Italian TV station Mediaset Italia1 reported F1 driver Sebastian Vettel has reached a deal with Ferrari, according to iG. The German champion "will be teammate's with Fernando Alonso" in '14 and the deal will run until the end of the '16 campaign. The contract will be for around €15M ($18.7M) a season (iG, 6/26). SpeedTV reported that Alonso's teammate in '13 will "either be an improved Felipe Massa or Australia's Mark Webber." Either pilot would "fill the cockpit for a single season before Vettel is contractually able to move" from his current Red Bull team. Massa or Webber would cost Ferrari only €5M ($6.2M) in '13. Once the German joins the team in '14 he will make €15M ($18.7M) annually (SPEEDTV.com, 6/26).
