London's 80,000-seat Olympic Stadium is one of three finalists for Stirling prize, an annual architecture award. The stadium has received "a lukewarm reception in some quarters but is considered a contender" for the £20,000 ($31,400) prize as the only truly large British building aiming at the Royal Institue Of British Architects award this year (GUARDIAN, 6/20).
CHANGING HANDS: Banyan Tree Group has taken over the management of Laguna Lang Co from Int'l Golf & Resort Management Ltd. Laguna Lang Co is part of the Laguna Hue Project in Vietnam. IGRM has overseen the development of the Nick Faldo-designed Laguna Lang Co championship golf course, practice facilities, all golf-related infrastructure and advised on the course maintenance facilities, maintenance equipment and grass procurement. The resort is schedule to open Nov. 1 (Golf Business Community).
