Brazilian Cities Could See OverSupply Of Hotel Rooms Following World Cup

Placar da Hotelaria 2015, which measures the risk of an oversupply of hotel rooms for the 12 World Cup host cities after the event occurs, said five cities face a high risk, according to HOTELIER NEWS. In the report, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Cuiaba, Manaus and Salvador are listed as host cities that "could suffer from an oversupply" in hotel rooms after the 2014 World Cup. Meanwhile, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Fortaleza, Recife, Porto Alegre and Curibiba are listed as cities with a low risk of an oversupply in hotel rooms (HOTELIER NEWS, 6/18).
