Kraft Looks For NFL To Ink New Thursday TV Package In Coming Weeks

Patriots Owner Robert Kraft on Friday "spoke briefly about the Thursday night package of games that the NFL is shopping." Kraft, who serves as Chair of the NFL's broadcast committee, said, "We really want to highlight Thursday night. I hope in the next few weeks we can get this thing finalized." He acknowledged that this is the "last rights package the league can sell for a long time." Kraft also "hopes a deal will be reached soon" with DirecTV for the Sunday Ticket package. He said, "It's been a great partnership and I personally hope it continues" (BROADCASTINGCABLE.com, 1/31).
