Fox Sees Slight Rating Increase For Tigers' 1-0 ALCS Game 1 Win

Fox earned a 4.2 fast national rating and averaged 6.8 million viewers for last night’s Tigers-Red Sox ALCS Game 1. That is up from a 4.1 rating and 6.6 million viewers for Giants-Cardinals NLCS Game 1 last year, which aired on a Sunday night. The Tigers-Red Sox game is projected to give Fox the primetime ratings win on a night that saw ABC air the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bank of America 500.

Meanwhile, TBS earned a 2.8 overnight for Game 2 of the Dodgers-Cardinals NLCS yesterday, up 22% from Game 2 of the Cardinals-Brewers series in '11, which aired on a Monday night. Last year's Tigers-Yankees ALCS Game 2 on TBS, which aired on a Sunday afternoon, earned a 3.7 overnight.

TBS got a 3.5 final rating and 5.5 million viewers for the Cardinals’ 13-inning win over the Dodgers in NLCS Game 1 Friday night. The net got a 4.2 rating and 6.8 million viewers for Tigers-Yankees ALCS Game 1 last year, which aired on a Saturday night. However, Cardinals-Dodgers Game 1 is up from a 2.1 rating and 3.4 million viewers for Cardinals-Brewers Game 1 in ’11, which aired on a Sunday night.
