Judge Set To Rule On Whether American Dream Project Can Proceed

New Jersey Superior Court Judge Peter Doyne on Friday said that he will issue a ruling this week "in the dual motions to dismiss lawsuits by the Giants and Jets as well as American Dream Meadowlands developer Triple Five." Doyne made the announcement after a two-hour hearing that saw him "at times sharply questioning attorneys for the teams, for Triple Five, and for the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority." He "questioned what he suggested were seemingly contradictory previous assertions by the teams about whether they were seeking an injunction to stop a resumption of construction at the shopping and entertainment site after a four-year dormant period" (NORTHJERSEY.com, 8/23).
