AT&T Park Holds Metallica Night; Band Performs Pre-Game Traditions

AT&T Park on Friday for the Dodgers-Giants game ran a "Metallica Night" promotion. Drummer Lars Ulrich threw out the ceremonial first pitch, and the band "wore Giants jerseys bearing the number 81" to reflect their '81 inception as a group. Metallica songs were "played between innings" on the PA system, and two band members performed a "lively instrumental rendition" of the national anthem, which can be seen here (MLB.com, 5/3).
