MLB FanFests: Large Crowds For Giants, D'Backs; "Bitter" Fans In Miami

The MLB Giants estimated that 35,000 to 40,000 people visited attended yesterday's FanFest at AT&T Park. A question-and-answer panel featuring P Tim Lincecum, C Buster Posey and OF Hunter Pence was the "highlight of the five-hour event" (S.F. CHRONICLE, 2/10).
The Marlins’ Winter Warm Up at Marlins Park yesterday saw "several thousand fans," many of which were "bitter." Marlins President of Baseball Operations Larry Beinfest said, “I understand where the fans are coming from and the upheaval. But it is time to turn the page" (MIAMI HERALD, 2/10).
The Padres’ FanFest at Petco Park yesterday drew 13,944 fans, with the Padres Garage Sale “a big hit,” raising $64,395 to benefit the Padres Foundation (MLB.com, 2/9).
